IMPORTANT VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION
When registering to vote, you may choose to enroll in a political party, political designation or may choose to remain “unenrolled,” which is commonly referred to as independent. Enrolling in a political party allows you to vote in that party’s presidential primary, to elect that party’s presidential nominee.
However, many States have open primaries or semi-closed primaries, that allow voters to vote in primary elections even if they are not enrolled in that specific party. Additionally, registering to vote allows voters to be able to vote in primary, general and local elections – so all upcoming elections.
